Autoresponder Setup
|
You will need two email addresses in order for your mail robot to work
successfully. The following example assumes your mail robot is used for
send@yourdomain.com and you're receiving your email at
recieve@yourdomain.com (these can NOT be the
same)
First log onto QmailAdmin
Under Main Menu you will see 5 Choices.
Pick “Mail Robot”
Choose “Mail Robot”
You now have 4 fields to fill out.
The first one “Mail Robot Name”:
This is the name before the @ in the email address you want your
Mail Robot to respond to. For example if you wanted the auto responder to
respond to an Email sent to send@yourdomain.com you would fill this space in
with send.
NOTE: This will be a FAKE email address - do NOT create a
POP account for "Mail Robot Name"!!! Make sure there are no POP accounts
for "Mail Robot Name" when you create this responder!!!
The next option is “Owner Email Address”:
Fill this in with the Email address you want to receive your Email at.
Example: receive@yourdomain.com. This can be any Email address you have.
It can even be one outside of your domain as well.
The Third option is “Subject”:
This will be the subject in the Mail Robot Email. Example “Auto
– Reply Email”
And Finally the last field, fill this area in with the information you want
to be in your Mail Robot Email. Example “Thank you! I have received
your Email!”
When your done hit the “Add” button and that’s it!
You can test it by simply sending a email with anything in the body to
send@yourdomain.com and you should then receive the message at
receive@yourdomain.com. You should receive the mail robot message at the
email address you used to send the test email with.
